Offline Rewards

Earn pins, ribbons, badges and medals against bots! This patch brings the ranked-server rewards to your singleplayer and LAN co-op games, and there’s nothing quite like racking up a pile of medals in one round.

In vanilla, many awards need things like 150 hours played or 300 EU wins, which you’ll never reach in a single round. So we reworked them for quick co-op games:

  • Titan mode rewards are removed.
  • Impossible requirements are gone.
  • Most rewards can be earned in about 15 minutes.

Steps

  1. Download the patch from Downloads.

  2. Open your game folder, where BF2142.exe lives, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142.

  3. Rename the existing python folder to python_o as a backup.

  4. Copy the python folder from the .zip into your game folder.

What’s new
  • Supports all Remaster mod weapons (constants.py)
  • Fixed several rewards that couldn’t be earned (medal_data.py)
  • Easier to turn logging on or off (__init__.py)
  • Code clean-up in rank.py and unlocks.py

Good to know

Section titled “Good to know”
  • Works with every mod, including vanilla.
  • Only affects singleplayer and co-op. Multiplayer is untouched, and you won’t get kicked for having it installed.
  • Rewards only last for the current round and reset when it ends.
  • Want logs? Edit python\bf2\__init__.py and change g_debug, g_debug_log and g_falog.
